A defense contractor shared footage allegedly showing a UFO hovering over a California airfield operated by his former company.

Andy Segobia previously worked for General Atomics, the San Diego company that built the deadly MQ-9 Reaper drone for the US military.

He told the Daily Mail that he was working with General Atomics in 2020. In August of that year, he sighted a mysterious orb UFO over the company’s El Mirage Field in San Bernadino County, California.

General Atomics builds UAVs for the US military. The company uses the airfield for its R&D projects on behalf of the government.

Segobia was driving toward the airfield when he noticed a spherical object about 10 feet in diameter hovering about 50 feet over the facility.

He knew immediately that the craft was not one of theirs. So he reached for his cell phone and began filming (see video below)

UFO resembled a dark glass object

Segobia told the Daily Mail that the object resembled dark glass. He thought it was a tethered balloon when he first saw it hovering in one spot from afar. But as he drove closer, he realized it wasn’t tethered.

The realization piqued his interest. The object hovered silently without drifting but showed no signs of a propulsion mechanism.

He said that although it looked silvery in the video, it was a “black tinted ball” in real life. He also recalled it seemed to generate wavy heat radiation similar to the shimmering mirage drivers see on the road when driving on a hot sunny day.

The witnesses filmed the object hovering silently in the air for about a minute and a half. When he got to the airfield, he went inside a building and came out less than a minute later to see if the UFO was still there.

UFO disappeared mysteriously

The object had disappeared in the short time he spent inside the building.

The skies were clear that day, so he wondered how a floating object disappeared without a trace within a minute. It couldn’t have hidden behind the clouds because it was cloudless.

He searched the vicinity to see if it had landed but found no trace of the UFO on the ground.

Segobia’s colleague confirmed his story

According to the Daily Mail, Segobia’s foreman, Juan Valdez, confirmed his story. He claimed he also saw the UFO but declined to share his opinion.

Segobia said he was familiar with the UAVs the company tested at the airfield in El Mirage, but he’d never seen anything resembling the dark glass orb.

The latest news follows a claim that military personnel filmed a bizarre jellyfish UFO over a US military base in Iraq. UFO researcher Jeremy Corbell shared the video in his new UFO documentary.

A former intelligence officer corroborated the claim. Michael Cincoski, who served at the US base in Iraq’s Anbar province in 2018, told News Nation that intelligence officers nicknamed the UFO the “spaghetti monster.”
