Paranormal researcher Leslie Kean claimed that UFO and alien phenomena “may be connected to ghosts and the supernatural.”

Kean is a researcher who has done work on near-death experiences.

According to the researcher, contrary to views that UFOs are from other planets in our physical universe, they could be paranormal phenomena from other dimensions.

A paranormal element to UFOs?

Kean proposed that UFOs could be from another dimension in a conversation with podcaster Chris Lehto.

She also proposed that there could be a link between unexplained UFO sightings, near-death experiences, and paranormal phenomena, such as ghosts.

She argued that not all UFOs were from planetary systems in our physical universe. Some were paranormal phenomena linked with near-death experiences and ghosts.

Her insight comes from her work on near-death experiences.

She argued that the elusive nature of UFOs suggests they were not entirely physical. They could be phantom or ghostly projections from a non-physical plane of existence.

Although we don’t live in that dimension and can’t perceive it with our physical senses, beings from that dimension can cross over to ours. They can move freely across the boundaries separating us.

There is an overlap between the dimensions, but humans cannot breach it. Thus, from our perspective, the dimension is paranormal or supernatural.

Hoaxers gave the paranormal a bad reputation

Kean argued that UFOs and paranormal phenomena were legitimate fields of inquiry.

While acknowledging the renewed interest in UFO studies, she argued that hoaxers gave the field a bad reputation and scared serious investigators away.

The proliferation of hoaxes encouraged skepticism. Scientific experts stopped taking sightings seriously because fraudsters made it difficult to separate genuine reports from fake ones.

The Stephenville UFO incident

Kean insisted that not all UFO reports were fake. Among incidents that Kean cited as worthy of further examination was the Stephenville incident.

Netflix’s new documentary miniseries Encounters explored the incident involving more than 300 witnesses in Stephenville, Erath County, Texas.

The witnesses included air traffic controllers, police officers, and trained pilots. They reported sighting a “mile-long” UFO in the skies over Stephenville and nearby towns, including Dublin and Gorman. Reports also came from as far as Fort Worth, 78 miles southwest of Stephenville.

Kean called for more research into near-death experiences because she believed they could offer insight into the nature of UFOs.

Who is Leslie Kean?

Besides her work on near-death experiences, Kean is also known for her investigative reporting on UFOs.

In December 2016, she co-authored a groundbreaking report with Helen Cooper and Ralph Blumenthal published in the New York Times.

The report, titled Glowing Auras and Black Money: The Pentagon’s Mysterious UFO Program, exposed an alleged top-secret Pentagon UFO program.

In June 2023, she and Ralph Blumenthal reported on David Grusch’s whistleblower allegations published on The Debrief.

She was the author of the 2010 book UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record.

I’m no expert, but I imagine when you are dying, you are lible to see anything.
I believe that most so called ufo’s are military prototypes.
Next, some ufo’s are known to be alien aircraft.
So why try to make things more complicated than this?
I dont get it.
One might even see a witch flying on a broom when they are dying.
I dont see how this helps with understanding ufos.
It just tries to complicate a subject that is already well known.
Ufos are not that difficult to understand. Let’s keep it that way.
