A veteran UFO hunter claimed, sensationally, that he spotted a boomerang-shaped UFO flying past the sun in an image NASA uploaded to their helio-viewer website.
Scott Waring estimated the length of the alleged UFO to be a whopping 5,500 km.
However, skeptics dismissed the alleged sighting, saying it was likely an artifact of the camera lens.
Who is Scott Waring?
Waring is a veteran UFO hunter known in enthusiast circles for his controversial UFO and alien sighting claims.
He regularly reports sighting UFOs in NASA images. He has claimed hundreds of sightings of aliens and evidence of lost extraterrestrial civilizations in the photos of the Martian surface uploaded to NASA’s websites.
Skeptics dismiss many of the claimed sightings as due to a phenomenon known as pareidolia.
According to psychologists, paredolia is a human tendency to spot familiar patterns in otherwise random visual stimuli.
5,500km-long UFO allegedly flying near the sun
Waring reported that while studying images uploaded to the helioviewer on November 27, 2023, he noticed a frame showing a gigantic boomerang-shaped spacecraft measuring about 5,500 km across.
According to the veteran UFO hunter, as the object zipped past, it left a line in its trail that appeared to be thousands or millions of kilometers long. The line resembled the smoke trail from the exhaust of a flying craft.
Waring wondered why the sun’s powerful gravitational field did not bend the line.
“The thing is the line does not indicate any gravity pull by the sun at all,” Warning commented. “There is no effect by this massive gravity pull that the sun has.”
UFO flying at 1-5% of the speed of light
He then argued that the UFO was traveling at a high speed because it only appeared in one frame.
According to Waring, the helioviewer frames have an interval of only a few minutes, but the alleged UFO does not appear in the frames before or after. The observation suggested that the object was moving at a tremendous speed.
Based on the photographic frame evidence, the UFO hunter estimated the speed of the alleged spacecraft at about 1%-5% of the speed of light.
NASA allegedly hiding evidence
Waring them wondered why NASA has been silent about the frequent appearance of alleged alien spacecraft in their photos.
“Why doesn’t NASA tell us about this things?” he asked.
“Maybe they just wanna keep us in the dark. Maybe they don’t want us panicking,” Waring speculated.
Reactions on YouTube
Waring’s fans were all excited about his latest UFO claims. Many agreed that the image shows an advanced alien spacecraft zooming past the sun.
However, some suggested that instead of an alien spacecraft, it could be a human-made craft from a top-secret government black project.
“This must be one of the most truly realistic classified top secret black budget project aerospace craft footages of this year,” a fan gushed.
“This ain’t an ET UAP,” the enthusiast continued, “but one of our god level black budget aerospace craft from the TR seires crafts, the TR-6 TELOS (Transatmospheric Electrogravetic Low Observable Surveillance platform).”
