A conference this weekend will look at a surge in UFO sightings that took place in New York’s Hudson Valley and western Connecticut during the 1980s and 90s.

The Western Connecticut UFO Conference will include a presentation by researcher and author Linda Zimmerman, who in 2013 penned a book about her work called In the Night Sky.

Her work shows that residents of the Hudson Valley have been reporting strange sightings in the skies for over a century, including mysterious “airships” in the early part of the 20th century and then a surge in “massive triangles” in the 1980s.

During the conference she will talk about many of the more famous reported sightings and discuss her theories about them.

The event will also feature presentations from father-and-son team Paul & Ben Eno, hosts of Rhode Island’s Behind the Paranormal radio talkshow, as well as author Rosemary Ellen Guiley and UFO investigator Shane Sirios.

It takes place in the city of Danbury this coming Saturday.
