Aliens in UFOs visited Alaskan tribes for centuries, folklore suggests

A new episode of History Channel’s Ancient Aliens explores tantalizing evidence from the folklore of the people of Alaska that they’ve been in contact with alien races for thousands of years.

Alaska is home to various Native American people, including the Inuit, the Alaskan Athasbaskans, the Yupik, the Tlingit, and the Haida.

Although they have diverse cultures, they all share stories of contact with extraterrestrial races since their ancestors arrived on the continent.

Researchers consider Alaska to be a UFO hotspot. Pilots regularly report encounters with UFOs while flying in Alaska.

Paranormal enthusiasts dubbed a region of the state the Alaska Triangle following multiple reports of diverse paranormal activity there.

Aliens races may have been in contact with Alaskans for centuries

Researcher and paranormal writer Mike Ricksecker noted that Alaskan folklore, myth, and legends contain references to UFOs in the sky and strange visitors from other worlds.

Native Alaskan folklore and art contain evidence that the ancient Alaskans knew about extraterrestrial beings.

Jonathan Young, an academic and curator at the Joseph Campbell Archives, said that some tribes tell stories about how their ancestors met mysterious alien races known as the “Star People.”

Although their knowledge of astronomy was limited, they claimed the visitors came from the stars. The belief in people visiting from the “stars” suggests that the ancient tribes were reporting about their experience of phenomena modern people refer to as aliens and UFOs (see video below).

Alaskan folklore talks about multiple bizarre alien races

Many of the tribal stories about visitors from the stars include descriptions of different strange species.

William Henry, a researcher of indigenous mythology, noted that the stories share elements, such as references to fantastical and supernatural beings from other worlds.

Alleged eyewitness accounts ascribed magical and godly powers to the alien visitors.

The Kushtaka were aliens that came in UFOs

The mythology of the Alaskan Inuit identifies one of the alleged extraterrestrials who visited the Inuit from the stars as the Kushtaka.

The Kushtaka were shapeshifting creatures the Inuit have known for thousands of years. But they are only one of several that ancient astronaut theorists believe were ETs who visited the Alaskans in UFOs.

Did Gray aliens also abduct the Alaskans?

Some theorists pointed out that Alaskan folklore described aliens remarkably similar to the Gray aliens of modern ET lore.

The Alaskans refer to the Gray alien-like ET species as the “little people.” They fear the “little people” more than other alleged ET species due to their habit of abducting people and taking them to another dimension. They also ascribe magical powers to the “little people.”

Theorists noted that Alaskan abduction stories are eerily similar to modern UFO abduction stories and suggest that the Alaskans were experiencing the same phenomena as modern humans.

Portals to other dimensions in the wilds?

However, other theorists proposed that the alleged ETs came from different dimensions. They traveled to Earth through portals or spacetime wormholes (Einstein-Rosen bridges).

Skeptics have objected to stories about ETs visiting Earth by citing the millions of light years separating Earth and potentially habitable planets.

The portal or wormhole theory of alien travel addresses such objections.

Aliens who have learned to exploit wormholes in the spacetime fabric will have no trouble overcoming the barriers of space and time.

The theory also supposedly explains frequent descriptions of aliens and UFOs appearing and disappearing magically.
